Benefits
Permanent part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work more than 40 hours per month and less than 80 hours per month have access to a health spending account in the amount of $1200.00 per year.
Permanent employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 80 hours per month have access to a health spending account in the amount of $600.00 per year.
Permanent employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 80 hours per month and who meet the requirements of the group insurance plan, have access to group life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance in the amount of twice the employee’s regular annual salary, extended health care insurance, dental insurance, and long-term disability insurance. This group insurance is provided by Alberta Blue Cross.
Pensions
Participation in the Local Authorities Pension Plan is a requirement for all full-time permanent employees, and all eligible part-time permanent employees.
