On July 5, 2023, members voted to ratify the newly negotiated collective agreement. The agreement will be taken to the Board by the CEO to be approved. Once approval is received the new agreement will take effect. Thank you to the negotiating committee and to all members who attended the ratification and took part in the vote!
CUPE Local 4810 election results following November’s General Meeting
At the November 2021 General Meeting, CUPE Local 4810 held elections for vacant positions.
Joining Deb Isbister (President) and Jenn McIver (Secretary) on the Executive are Alyssa Braun (Vice President) and Shannon Lirondelle (re-elected to Treasurer).
Joining Simon Gorman (2 year Trustee) and Rachelle McComb (1 year Trustee) as part of our Trustee team is Sarah Spurr (new 3 year Trustee).
Joining Alexis Olinek (current Co-Chair) and Rachelle McComb (current Secretary) on the Health and Safety Committee are Stefan Lapalme and Laura Morton (for two year terms).
Congratulations to our new Executive and Committee members and thank you for agreeing to take on these important roles. Thanks to all who came to the meeting as well!
CUPE 4810 ratifies new Collective Agreement, October 2021
CUPE Local 4810 members ratified their new Collective Agreement at a virtual meeting on October 22. The Memorandum of Agreement was later approved by the Library Board at their meeting so we have a new Collective Agreement! Congratulations to the Bargaining Committee and thank you to the members who came to the ratification meeting.
Local 4810 February General Meeting to be held on Zoom
Local 4810 will be holding their next General Meeting, Friday February 19 at 6 pm, virtually on zoom. Links to join the meeting will be emailed to members one day prior to the meeting. New Executive members elected at November 2020 General Meeting
Elections were held for several positions at November’s General meeting and the Executive now includes Deb Isbister as President, Bonnie Marchuk as Vice-President, Shannon Lirondelle as Secretary Treasurer and Jenn McIver as Recording Secretary. At the meeting Greer McIvor was also elected as a three year trustee. Congratulations to all and a huge thank you to Val Closson, who served many years as Treasurer and Sue Choi who served many years as a trustee!

Thanks to the Negotiating Committee of Rob Bastell, Alexis Olinek and Deb Isbister, for negotiating the Collective Agreement which came into effect July 1, 2015 and will expire June 30, 2018. Check on the Resouces tab for a pdf of this Agreement.
